General FAQs
What do I need before a session?
Please identify/gather/have on hand any data you feel is relevant to specific questions that you want to be educated about (please do not send ahead of time).
What if I don't know what I want to know?
We recognize that there are questions you know you have and there are many questions you don't know you have as well as questions that develop in the course of a session. We treat the whole process as emergent and will pivot and address as comprehensively and precisely as possible questions that arise. We’ll explore together.
Who is this not for?
This is not for those seeking second opinions; those who are looking for someone to speak directly with their healthcare providers; those seeking diagnoses, prognoses, or treatment for their conditions from Dr. Tim; those who are focused on lifestyle medicine/longevity (Dr. Tim is trained in mainstream cardiology and does not have particular training in lifestyle medicine).
How many sessions should I expect to need?
You decide what feels right to you. Many people feel complete after one session. Many return for repeat sessions. Several factors play in including the scope of medical complexity, the depth of your stress, and how smoothly we come together. We want you to derive great value from each session.
What is the cost?
The current cost is $300 per 50 minute session on weekdays and $400 on weekends.
Are the sessions in-person or virtual?
Sessions are virtual via Zoom. A link and calendar invite is sent to your email upon booking.
How do I book?
Book via this website via the 'Booking' section (link at the top of the page).
What if I need to cancel?
If you cancel prior to 48 hours before the session, you will be sent a full refund. After 48 hours before the session, the reservation fee is forfeited.
Can I record the session?
We do not allow video or audio recordings of the sessions. We recognize that this may be disappointing or frustrating for some who would find session recordings helpful to revisit. Heart health education sessions are complete containers within themselves and keeping them unrecorded helps deepen the safety and strength of those containers. We ask that the booking client commit to not recording the session. You are welcome to take notes.
What is the engagement agreement?
Constellation offers something that doesn't exist in traditional medicine — a spacious, unhurried conversation with a cardiologist focused entirely on helping you understand your situation and find your own ground within it. Because this is an educational service rather than a clinical one, we ask you to acknowledge that distinction in writing. The engagement agreement confirms that Dr. Tim is not acting as your treating physician, no diagnosis or treatment is being rendered, and that your relationship with your own care team remains the appropriate home for clinical decisions. It protects the integrity of the space we're creating together.
Who can attend the session?
You can have two people join you for your session if you would like. They can either join on same device that you do or we can admit them to the Zoom room on separate devices after you join. If you choose the latter, please send them the zoom link prior to the meeting. In rare cases, more attendees are considered. Please email at least 24hrs in advance with a request if you would like more attendees. Number of attendees is limited by default to foster a clear, supportive environment for the session which is more challenging with more attendees.
Can I get a second opinion from Dr Tim?
No. You don't need more opinions. You are seeking something else, perhaps peace of mind. Let's find out what you really want. All else will flow from there.
What if I'm not sure if my condition is appropriate for a session?
Feel free to email us at hello@constellation-care.com prior to booking with a short description of what you are hoping from a session and we can hopefully clarify things for you. Alternatively, we review each booking for appropriateness so, if you prefer, you can go ahead with booking a session and we will contact you if we feel a session with Dr Tim is unlikely to be what you are looking for.
